Städte denen die drin wohnen? Kapitalistisches Wachstum und Gentrifizierung nehmen Tieren und Menschen den Wohnraum. Wo wir auch hinsehen verschwinden rasant Grünflächen, Parks und Wälder werden für teure Wohn- und Büroobjekte zerstört. Nicht nur wir Menschen, sondern auch verschiedenste andere Tiere müssen sich der Urbanisierung und dem Leben in der Stadt anpassen oder werden verdrängt. Wir brauchen Konzepte für einen Umbau der Städte damit alle Platz zum Leben haben.
Welche Stadtkonzepte es gibt, damit bei Urbanisierung an alle gedacht wird, lotet die Kurz-Doku „a future imperative“ aus (30min). Um einen Anfang zu machen, gibt es danach einen Workshop zum Bauen von Nistkästen – zum Wohnen für Vögel und als politische Botschaft für Menschen! Material, Werkzeug und Wissen wird bereitgestellt. Im Anschluss gibt es veganes Essen und Zeit, eure Nistkästen mit Stickern, Malereien oder kleinen Transpis zu verschönern. Wir können alle aktiv werden für unsere eigene Nachbar*innenschaft mit Tieren und Menschen.

Cities to those who live in them? Capitalist growth and gentrification take away living space from animals and people. Wherever we look, green spaces are rapidly disappearing, parks and forests are being destroyed for expensive residential and office buildings. Not only we humans, but also various other animals have to adapt to urbanization and life in the city or are displaced. We need concepts for a consistent reconstruction of the cities so that everyone has room to live.
The short documentary „a future imperative“ (30min) explores which urban concepts are available so that everyone is accommodated when it comes to urbanization. To make a start, there will be a workshop on building nesting boxes – for birds to live in and as a political message for people! Materials, tools and knowledge will be provided. Afterwards, there will be vegan food and time to embellish your nesting boxes with stickers, paintings against gentrification and climate crisis or small transpis. We can all become active for our own community of animals and people.
